Asia Society

The Asia Society is a non-profit educational institution which works to strengthen relationships and promote understanding between the U.S. and Asia. Founded in 1956, it has offices all over world from San Francisco to Shanghai. The Asia Society headquarters on Park Avenue in Manhattan house the Asia Society Museum, which features cutting-edge exhibitions of Asian and Asian American art as well as a renowned permanent collection of works.

Asia Society Museum

This museum is well known for the classical Asian masterpieces in the Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller Collection, which is considered to be one of the best collections of Asian art in the U.S. The museum's Contemporary Art Collection features new media works including videos and animations. Visiting Asia Society

The Asia Society is located on 725 Park Avenue (between 70th and 71st Streets) in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Visitors can pick up gifts at the AsiaStore at Asia Society, which was rated by Zagat's New York City Shopping Guide as one of the top museum shops. AsiaStore features apparel and accessories by Asian and Asian American designers as well as a selection of literature, music and home decor items. Proceeds from purchases help support the Asia Society exhibitions and programs.
