The Eileen Fisher Philosophy

Designer Eileen Fisher started her clothing company in 1984 with only $350 in the bank. The interior and graphic designer was inspired by her own struggle to get dressed in the morning. She envisioned pieces in simple shapes, beautiful colors and quality fabrics that all worked well together. Her first four designs were a hit and orders began pouring in. Today there are over 900 Eileen Fisher stores across the US.

Eco-Friendly Fabrics

The core fabrics used in Eileen Fisher clothing include eco-conscious fabrics such as organic linen, a fibre which is cultivated with less fertilizer, pesticides and water than cotton. Eileen Fisher’s Eco Collection features garments made from organic denim, silk, cashmere and cotton as well as sustainable fabrics like naturally wrinkle-resistant Tencel.
