A New York City Landmark

Henri Bendel was located on West 57th Street for many years until moving in 1990 to its current home on one of the most famous shopping stretches in the world: Fifth Avenue. The flagship location of Henri Bendel is now housed in three renovated historic townhouses, one of which was the storefront for French perfumer François Coty in the early 20th century. Renovations to the Coty building revealed stunning original decorative glass windows designed by Rene Lalique, the celebrated French glassmaker. The discovery of these works of art helped make the Bendel building an official New York City landmark.

Fekkai's Flagship

The historic Fifth Avenue Henri Bendel store has a special feature on the fourth floor- a Frédéric Fekkai hair salon. The celebrity hair stylist has locations of his luxurious salon in tony spots like Melrose Place and Palm Beach but he chose Bendel's on Fifth for his flagship.
