Sigerson Morrison features original collections of boots, flats, and mid to high-heeled shoes as well as handbags and leather accessories. Their designs are fashion-forward and have been known to cause a commotion with fashionistas- in 2003, 300 pairs of their brightly-coloured flip-flops with the kitten heels sold out in two hours, leaving hundreds of women on a waiting list for the haute version of the casual summer slip-ons.

Behind the Name

Sigerson Morrison was founded in 1991 by two former students of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Miranda Morrison and Kari Sigerson. Their line of shoes was first picked up by the upscale department store Bergdorf Goodman and they opened their first retail store in New York’s trendy Nolita district (north of Little Italy) in 1995.

The Sigerson Morrison flagship store opened on Prince Street in 2000 around the corner from the original boutique which now houses the Sigerson Morrison line of handbags and accessories.

Belle Sigerson Morrison

Named for Kari Sigerson’s daughter, the more moderately priced Belle Sigerson Morrison line features footwear and accessories slightly edgier than the styles of the main collection. This award-winning line is a favourite with Sigerson Morrison fans who love the high-end designer but appreciate a lower-end price tag.
