Edge Hotel Washington HeightsEdge Hotel Washington Heights is a 3-star boutique hotel in the north part of Manhattan. Located just steps from Columbia University Medical Center, it’s also regarded as one of the best value hotels in the NYC. Main features here are the free continental breakfast, free WiFi, an on-site fitness centre and modern décor in an otherwise historic and quaint district.
Built in 2016, there are 54 guestrooms in this building, featuring single- and double-bed rooms, some with views of the George Washington Bridge. The walls are thin, so noise may be an issue.
The rooms have original art, a comfortable work desk and chair, as well as free access to WiFi, a 42-inch flat-screen LCD HDTV and Keurig coffee maker. Glass-door shower stalls, Lather toiletries, and hairdryers are featured for additional comfort as well. Click to book your NYC Uptown Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour.
The room rates also include a complimentary continental breakfast that’s served daily. This includes tea and coffee, juice, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt. There are no other restaurants of cafes at the property, although the Edge Hotel Washington Heights has a 24-hour grab-and-go kiosk next to the reception and plenty of restaurants nearby.
In addition to that, this budget hotel has a small but modern fitness centre with cardio machines, weight-training equipment and free weights. Highbridge Park is just a block from the site too, so hiking is made easy as well. Both a business centre and a meeting room with a conference table and flat-screen TV are featured as well.
Getting to The Cloisters, Central Park and Midtown is made simple with a subway station (168th Street) nearby, which also goes all the way down to Downtown (Chelsea, SoHo, Tribeca, 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street, etc.).
